I have a new NS2 using firmware version 2.2.1 according to the locator,
this unit will ask for username and password which i figure is still ubnt and ubnt.
Once entered enternet exploerer says the webpage cannot be displayed HTTP error 500.
I have tried to use the reset button but no change.

Hello Bajataz,
Please try and access the unit on the following url:
http://192.168.1.20/network.cgi
Then upgrade the firmware and the problem will not be there.
Thanks,
Mike

I think it is not your first one, I suppose you got another one and you upgrade it first, because I found this problem with old firm Nanos.
Just clear your web browser cache... if it not work, try using this link
http://192.168.1.20/system.cgi

hi,
also watch out, sometimes the browser defaults to the .cgi e.g. index.cgi instead of .html, you will get an annoying error then..
instead of bookmarking 192.168.1.20 , bookmark 192.168.1.20/index.html etc..

Hey Guys,
This only happens if you have ran a V3.0 unit before through that browser. When you go to a unit after that with 2.2.1 you will get that error.
Upgrading fixes it :)

hi,
as we had a load of units at 2.2.1 to upgrade on the bench we were constantly unplugging an upgraded to 3.x unit and plugging in a 2.2.1 etc..
took a while to work out what the hell was going on
changed the bookmark to explicitly go to the .html page and its fixed :)
