Hi,
I am in the process of constructing a 5.8ghz backhaul here in Brisbane and I am wanting to give the bullet a try.
My problem is no one in Australia or New Zealand has one, nor has an eta for when they will have stock.
I am really wanting to have this link up before x-mas, and have been trying to find stock from the USA and Europe but so far had no success.
Is it possible I can buy 1 unit directly and have it shipped? I know the exchange rates a killer at the moment but I don't mind paying extra just to get my hands on one to get the link up and running.
Hope someone can help :)
Cheers
You find any in stock as they haven't been released yet. Perhaps end of December they are saying.

WHT - Really? I see in europe a few suppilers have on their site they have 300+ in stock but you need to purchase over $500 worth to order one.
Why do I suspect that they will refuse to talk to you until you commit to $500...and then tell you they are on backorder.

That's what I suspect also..
I have no problem going for the PS5-EXT but I want to give the Bullet5 a try because of its compact size.
Ummmm....not so fast.
The Bullet will need an antenna. A BBQ grid is about 28" to 36" across and a patch panel antenna is about 16" x 16" (about the size of a Powerstation).

Yea I know :) i have a 27dbi 5.8ghz dish already
using a bullet just means i can lower the wind resistance, seeing the last few storms this week we have pushed 100km/h winds.

Finally have a Bullet 5 on its way! lets hope fedex drops it off sooner than the 2 weeks they say its going ot be to get here from the USA!
cameron...
The Bullet and a 27 dBi BBQ grid antenna survive 70 mph on my truck just fine.

Bullet arrived today! Very neat little unit also shipped with a POE injector which was a nice surprise.
Hopefully will be testing the unit over the coming fortnight.

Will do mike,
I can see one design change that could be made, there the network cable goes through the back end and the little rubber seal goes in that could be, say 3mm higher to clear formed RJ45 ends.
How it is at the moment if you use a cat 5 cable with a formed end you can fit the seal in.
Cheers.
