I have heard rumor of 900mhz subscriber equipment in the works. Any word on this? Maybe an NS9 in the near future??
Given the number of trees I have to deal with I would sure like to deploy 900mhz but at this point the subscriber units are too expensive.
Thanks
Steve

Steve:
I too would love to see a 900mhz package from UBNT. I have yet to figure out why, they build the best 900mhz cards on the market, they build the best CPE's on the market, they made the best GUI on the market.....
I'm thinking it wouldn't take much to get there from here.
An NS9 would solve a lot of problems for my current setups and future setups.
How would you fit a 900 MHz into a NS case?
As it is, the NS2 case can hold only two patch antennas for 10 dBi gain, or one 900 MHz patch for 5 dBi gain.

You know, I'd settle for a small 900mhz package with external antenna only. Keep it small and inexpensive.
The best 900 gear I can get right now costs me over $340USD. By the time I get it shipped and pay the exchange it costs me well over $400CDN.
Using that as a measure, a UBNT system with an SR9, a LSX board and such should be well under that. Some may say "roll your own", and I say something that I can haul out of the box, mount, and stick an antenna on it and play..... that's what we want. Call it a PS9-EXT.
Maybe even a 900mhz bullet????? That would be sweet, and would sell well. Come on guys, you got 2.4 and 5.8 nailed down, lets have some 900 goodness. :D

Has there been any specific response from UBNT on this question?

If you search the forum a bit, they have kinda beat around the bush on the subject. If you read between the lines, I don't think there is anything currently being developed, although I hope I'm wrong on this point.

There is a PS9 that is or was in development. I have one of the test units, and have not gotten an updated firmware since last summer. I think development pretty much stopped while the Loco, routerstation, and bullet were produced.
Sorry I don't have any more info than that.

jcremin,
How well does your PS9 work? We have had some 900 MHz equipment and so far have not had very good luck with it. I'd be interested to know how far out you can communicate with an AP and how well it does through foliage.
Thanks,
Jason

Jason,
The unit works okay but it has some software issues that make it unusable (like missing noise floor readings, etc).
When doing side by side comparisons with a 411/xr9/rootenna combo the PS9 didn't perform nearly as well in any situation, especially lower signal conditions.
I still have it sitting on a shelf hoping that UBNT starts working on it again someday. Until then, we all have to keep waiting.
