Hi,

When tested with Cisco 1200 AP, the PS2 can connect to the AP (as verified from the AP association information) but the PC connected to the PS2 cannot access beyond the PS2 even with static IP.

Thanks,
EW

There are people way smarter on this than me, but when I first established a link between my two PS2's with a manually configured IP address I could connect to both units and configure them, but could not get beyond (in my case browse the internet connection on the other end). I discovered the far unit did not have a DNS server set or default gateway listed, therefore not allowing me to go any further.

See if you can see the configuration on your local, then your sender, then the next step on the line beyond that and you'll narrow down your issue. I assume all units are in the same subnet (PS2 default 192.168.1.X) Assuming also that any security from the access point (WPA,WEP, etc) are also set on the PS2.

Hello,

Please post your network details including DNS, IP scheme, gateway address along with the configuration file of the PS2.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

The config. file is listed below. I'm using a Firewall to serve the DHCP server, router to Internet as well as private to public network translation.

I only got a small network therefore my internal network is a flat layer 2 network with the firewall to connect to the internet.

Can you ping from PC connected to PS2 to your Firewall/Gateway. As I understand from your cfg file it should be 10.11.8.1.

The PC connected to the PS2 cannot ping to the Firewall/Gateway, it can only access to the PS2 and nothing beyond.

Tks.

Hi,

Any hints to get this work?

Thanks,

You are setting at Router mode with DHCP client in WAN and getaway 10.11.8.1 and 0.11.8.144 on LAN side? That´s true?

Hi Guidonet,

I'm using Bridge mode.

Tks.

I´m confused.... your config contains

route.1.gateway=10.11.8.1
route.1.devname=br0
route.1.status=enabled
route.status=enabled

and

netconf.3.up=enabled
netconf.3.netmask=255.255.255.0
netconf.3.ip=10.11.8.144
netconf.3.devname=br0
netconf.3.status=enabled

Do you try to start again from factory default?
Just modifies the IP,netmask, Gateway, DNS and select one in AP mode.

Hi,

I've tried my PS2 with OS v3.3.1 but got the same problem.

Any clue?

Thanks.

Hello,

Did you try from default and reset the link?

Thanks

Mike

Hi,

I already tried to reset the PS2 to default after upgrading to OS v3.3.1 and then configure the IP, netmask, gateway & DNS etc.

Thanks,
EW

WE recently took over a company that was exclusively Cisco and our 2.4 CPEs were ubiquity and Senao CB3s and we have never successfully passed traffic through anything but a Cisco device. I believe the reason is because the Cisco APs are proprietary.. If you find a solution i would love to hear it

I have a network where the AP is a Cisco 1200 AP and the CPE's are mix, including; UBNT (NS2, PS2, Bullet2), Tranzeo, Cisco and a Zyxel router/AP.

I have "Aironet Extensions" turned off on the Cisco 1200 and all play well together.

Some of the UBNT's are in bridge mode and some are in router mode.

Hi Amazo2,

It works after disabled the 'Aironet extensions'. Tks.

I'll test it for a longer period to see its effect.
