hello all, i would like to know if any changes would be made in the future to the AirOS software for the PicoStation. I think a good addition to this wonderful software would be an added page that offers bandwidth management and shows connected users with IP info. I am presently using the Nanostation2 and having familiarized myself with the OS, find it very easy and user friendly. I am now planning on purchasing a couple of the Pico's and cant wait to try out that 1000mw potency!!!

Thanks guys, and keep up the good work!!! :D :D

thanks for the reply Mike. I really want to deploy my network using Ubiquiti equipment but really need to have some sort of bandwidth management for my clients or I get stuck having to continuously monitor them. Maybe someone can suggest a good program that would work well with the Ubiquiti line of products that I could use? Any ideas would help.

Thanks,

Depends on what you are using for AP's. Airos does bandwidth throttling at the client level, but if you really want control use RouterOS with UBNT cards, Radius server and Hotspot. UBNT's radios(minipci) are the best on the market! PS2/5, NS2/5, etc are perfect for clients but dont hold up well has dedicated AP's. That is what we use and everything works great.

laser3:

As far as mesh is concerned: there's nightwing http://nightwing.lugro-mesh.org.ar/en/doc/howto_flash_ubiquiti.html

and, of course, open-mesh:
