dynamic ACK feature

hi,all
Ubiqiti driver-0.6.280 has a new feature called dynamic ACK , what is the benefit of DACK,which is able to enhance transmission rate ?
please ask how to implement in 802.11 wifi spec,because I know one ACK frame will answer one data frame in 802.11 protocol,then ,whether does dynamic ACK only update the time for waitting for ACK ?

Updates time for waiting ACK. Actually if the link has fixed infrastructure, it is always better to set static ACK timeout to the value which matches maximum distance between peers.
