quisiera saber si tiene la posibilidad de instalar un display LCD al router como a los mikrotik para que vaya informando la carga , memoria y demas

// What Jorge is asking is about is about an LCD module to be connected to the routerstation to show memory, system load, etc. //

Jorge: Si bien Mikrotik tiene una manera de poner un LCD via el puerto serial, este board tiene varios GPIO que podrían usarse para eso. Pero hasta donde se, no hay nada desarrollado al respecto, pero podría hacerse. Saludos!

// Jorge: Although Mikrotik has some LCD support through its serial port, this board offers a nicer option thru its GPIO ports. So far, that is something nobody developed, but looks doable. Regards. //

Would love to know about that.

I am not into electronics, but having the routerstation interfaced to an arduino would be quite a useful hack. The arduino can drive the LCD and at the same time, other interesting stuff can be done.

Good luck,

You might also look at AIO/DIO capture devices using USB. They would probably look like serial devices and have a specialized driver, but even the most inexpensive ones would be capable of many more analog and digital outputs if you needed it.

I'm also curious about adding a DVI display to a RS and an audio device, but I just haven't had the time to find examples of this to test.

If you know of devices that look promising I would love to hear about them.

Thanks,

Mike

I have LCD display from BATRON with i2c interface which i think can be used with some i2c driver.
Also there are i/o expansion integrated circuits for the i2c with 8,16,and even 40 i/o-s (nxp , microchip)
