We are currently using nanostations for our olsr based mesh network. They are a great piece of hardware. Congratulations!

However, we are using openwrt as olsr is not supported in AirOS. Openwrt works also great but there is a missing point about it: firmware upgrade.

At the moment it is not possible, in openwrt, to upgrade the software via web page. However, I know that AirOS uses the fwupdate script to do this. I've searched for it in the SDK to get ideas for openwrt but it is already compiled. Would it be possible to get the source code for the fwupdate.real binary? This way we could port it to openwrt!

Many, many thanks!!!

Bump!

This is a showstopper for me. I've been using openwrt with WRT54GLs and all I need to do to safely update firmware remotly is scp-copy, md5-check and mtd write /tmp/firmware.trx linux&&reboot.

If there is already a way to do this, I would really appreciate a heads-up.
