Hello Diego,

Its sounds like the unit took an ESD hit and is indeed dead.

Thanks,

Mike

One will repair it? since it opened and internally there's nothing burned visible.

Generally you cannot repair it. But if you know what you are doing you can replace the ethernet chip and the unit will work again.

Thanks,

Mike

Electrostatic damage is rarely visible, unlike power surge, overvoltage or lightning strike damage.

Hi diego638, could you confirm very basic informations...

Is LED bright at the rear ?

If not : do you've check the AC power supply or tried another one (12VDC min, 18VDC max , 1A or more capability - be careful about plug polarity)

If yes :
Do you have tried to made a basic ping on 192.168.1.20 after reset ?

if Yes : do you have tried to do a recovery procedure with the reset switch and firmware flash by TFTP ?

Good Luke !!

a second NS2 broke after a storm, the UTP cable is double meshing with aluminum foil that covers it. I have now put a replacement Seine in to see what happens.
Can tell me I have to change internally to NS2 to restart operations.
