I have three farm houses/office I would like to connect so I can access the internet and a Network Share that contains Docs, Quickbooks, ETC. The houses are all line of site (I can see both from the window of my garage) and if looking down at them from the sky they take the shape of a isosceles triangle. One is a half mile a way and the other about a mile. As I read the forums people keep talking about the Power5tation2/5 and the Nanostation2/5 for ease of use and a good price. What type of hardware would I need to connect the two houses to my house and get the best speed for local network access.

Thanks in advance. :!: :!: :!:

Would four Nanostation2s set to bridge work? Two for each Link? Is there other Hardware that I could setup as the AP and then point 2 NS2s at it? Any info that would point me in the right direction would greatly help.

Thanks,
DLSII

If I understand correctly, you have 3 locations in a triangle. If we say point A is the top of the triangle and points B and C are within a 55 degree spread when looking from point A, you could put a Nanostation at point A, pointing half-way between points B and C. Then just put another Nano at points B and C, both pointing back to point A. Point A would be AP (WDS), points B and C would be in StationWDS mode and your whole network would be bridged.

davey...

Can you grab a Goggle Earth view and mark your sites?

Stick a Nanostation 2 at the place where you have an inernet connection and point it straight east. Set it as an AP

Stick a Nanostation 2 at each of the two remote locations and point them back to the first Nano. Set them as Stations.

Turn off Client Isolation at the Nano AP to let the two remote Nanos talk to each other.

Thanks WHT!!!!

Would your setup also apply to using the new NanoStationM (The Nano Station MIMO 5 Ghz to be more exact) over the NanoStation2?
Thanks Again!!

Thanks Again!!Go with a Nanostation M5. I mean, like...even a Loco 5 would work.
