Can you be specific as to the environment?
Indoor?
Outdoor?
Multiple AP's at one location?
Expected range?
Usage...hotspot, ISP...?
Climate?
Backend?
It looks like the NS is a decent AP and is simple to setup. Even simpler are the Senao products. D-Link makes a decent outdoor unit with 5Ghz WDS.
The Mtik learning curve is worth the time if you have multiple sites but be prepared for frustration. Frequent software updates and documentation doesn't keep up too well with version changes. Webbox is a waste of time and Winbox leaves you to discover its nuances on your own. CLI is the way to go but is frustrating at times. The plus side is stability, price and the power to manipulate anything.

I'm moving all ap's over to mikrotik from Demarc...Had 4 of the AP5000's in the network as relays/backhauls running a 5Ghz band. Problems encountered included inconsistent routing, even with RIP activated. Also had issues with cards inexplicably dropping power levels as much as 10dB for no reason. IMHO Demarc makes a fair cpe (Reliawave models) but as AP the Ikarus OS they use is sorely lacking.I'm gravitating to all MT AP's w/ubiquiti cards and Ubiquiti cpe's. Cheaper, better overall performance, and loaded with features not available on Ikarus. Very pleased with the outcome so far!
