A lot of powered GPS antennae use MMCX connectors. Has anyone ever tried one of these with an SRC or SRX?

I was curious about this is well. I've tried 2 different antennas, and both+SRX are weaker than my internal laptop wireless. I really don't understand why I paid $150 for this.

According to Wikipedia there are 3 frequencies used by the GPS System:

L1 (1575.42 MHz)

L2 (1227.60 MHz)

L5 (1176.45 MHz)

So the antennas in your gps-mouse are definitely not optimized for your
2400 - 2483.5 MHz WLAN equipment.
Same for 5 GHz WLAN.

Hello,

Those antenna would not provide any gain, and would actually hurt performance, as they are not tuned to the frequencies used by SRX.

Thanks,

Mike
