We were upgrading a client radio to 3.1 this afternoon and the radio went off the air and did not come back. After going to the client location, we discovered we could not access the PS2 on either the configured IP or the default IP. We tried pressing the reset button to reset it to default configuration, however it was still unaccessible after pressing the reset button.
What are the recovery procedures for attempting to recover from a failed firmware upgrade?

Hi,
- First of all we suggest to do device reboot before upgrading to v3.1 because some previous version of fw had memory leak issue and the could be not enough memory left after long operational time of the device.
- We suggest to do upgrade on v3.0 because old version was not accepting fw bigger than 2.5MB
BTW: could you provide your original fw version before you upgraded to v3.1

have you tried using the ubiquiti discovery program? it seems to work pretty well when all forms of communication seems to be lost.

I would like to upgrade from AirOS 2.2 as well, but I can't find the version 3.0 for download. The newest version on the website is 3.1, yet this version does not work with 2.2. Could you tell me where to get version 3.0?
I hope I got it right: my plan is to update to 3.0 first and then update to 3.4 to circumvent the upgrade size restriction.
Upgrade from 2.2 to 3.2 and then upgrade to 3.4. All you need 3.2 is for the intermediate upgrade process.

Does version 3.2 require a TFTP upgrade as well? Hitting the upload button (after having chosen the *.bin file) in the web interface seems to have no effect.
Try a different web browser.

Everything worked as you described, thanks for the tip with the browser!
I kinda figured your web browser was blocking pop-ups. So you tried another browser and your good to go?

It was actually not a pop-up issue. The upload simply didn't happen in Safari. When I tried the same thing in FireFox, it just worked out fine.
