Hey Guys,
I set up a Wiki to help you navigate the murky waters of obtaining a license for the new 3.650-3.700 band.
Please visit the following website:
http://wiki.ubnt.com
Select the FCC 3Ghz section. The links and information all can be found here.
So get your license and happy transmitting!
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. Here is my license:

Mike,
Any idea about the FCC and the 700 yet??
I have been calling and cannot find anyone there that ecen knows anything about the 700 band?
Thanks
Mitch
The 700 MHz FCC auction ended March 18 of last year.
Translation: It will be years before we see anything concrete.

Sorry to continue the hijack, but I have been inquiring on 700mhz also. I talked to a few distributors that have guys using it.
Is it legal or not?

I cannot find any filings with FCC for XR3 antenna configurations. Which antennas (gain and type) can I use with XR3 and be FCC compliant?
thank you

to my understanding there are a couple types of certifications with the FCC. 1.)A radio, antenna, board, etc.. can be certified as a PtP or PtmP unit as a "modular device" that can be mixed and matched as you see fit, as long as you follow FCC regs there is no problem with this
or
2.) If it is a radio/antenna solution that WAS certified with it's counterpart as a pair, it is considered an intentional radiator - it is then illegal to use it with another higher gain antenna - unless you re-certify the combination
External radio frequency power amplifiers and antenna modifications.
(c) An intentional radiator may be operated only with the antenna with which it is authorized. If an antenna is marketed with the intentional radiator, it shall be of a type which is authorized with the intentional radiator. An intentional radiator may be authorized with multiple antenna types.
(3) Manufacturers shall supply a list of acceptable antenna types with the application for equipment authorization of the intentional radiator.
(4) Any antenna that is of the same type and of equal or less directional gain as an antenna that is authorized with the intentional radiator may be marketed with, and used with, that intentional radiator.
I believe that the XR3 falls under the prior group

Part 15 is for unlicensed broadcasts and spurious emissions.
700 MHz is licensed would not fall under Part 15.

I like to know if I request the 3 GHz Licensing I just for point to point or point to multipoint like ubiquity 5 GHz unlicensed spectrum?
Can you clarify that or give some examples?

There has been a bit of interest expressed regarding using this module within the 9 cm amateur radio band, 3300 - 3500 MHz. Would you please share the appropriate channel information to operate there?
Also, in line with Part 97, is a 1500-watt amplifier available?
Best regards and 73s,
