Hi,
As we got Tranzeo to do this some years back when we used them, is it possible to add a tick box in the system menu to turn off the LEDs on the back.
this has advantages for power and visible annoyance reasons. Tranzeo initially refused to do it then changed their mind (they did have stupidly bright LEDs!!).
We use MT stuff too but they haven't produced an RSSI meter.. so the Nanostations are going to become our client radio of choice for sub 10km range as untrained Aerial installers can fit/align them!
Cheers

If a nanostation is used as a ptmp AP, the LEDs would not be of any use probably.
If a nanostation client is installed in a living space, the lights might be annoying at night. (A piece of tape could be installed over them temporarily)
Here is one of my tower (time exposure at night) The green lights are Alvarion radios and the red light is a Trango radio.

Hi,
You can turn off RSSI LEDs right now. Just adjust LED Thresholds in Advanced page something like:
Signal LED Thresholds
Thresholds, dBm: LED1 LED2 LED3 LED4
-1 -1 -1 - 1
But still will see Power LED on on all devices and blinking LAN and WLAN LEDs on some devices.

hi,
correct, hence suggesting it for the next release. then it can be turned on for signal checks etc.. without messing up the RSSI light threshold fields.
if the power is hard wired then that will have to stay i guess.

This should be sticky or in the FAQ
Many thanks

@ 7W of power usage turning off the LEDs should help a bit.
Don't make me hack into the device to clip LED wires!

If you wish to get this done a stale thread won't likely be the ideal approach.....
Go to the appriate forum for your "whatever" radio or the firware forum and asee if there is an existing request and put your $0.02 in or make a feature request.....
And your radios don't likely use much more that 4W in action...... Including the LEDs
