Is this known to work? I'm getting the Searching for device splashscreen of death at the moment and I've followed the instructions for 9.04 with the udevinfo wrapper script, installing Sun Java and putting myself in the dialout group. Also tried running it as root.

I'm sorry to say that even on 9.04 64-bit JVM was not supported, not to mention that we haven't even tested the app on 10.04 32bit.

I'd say your quickest bet is to install a VirtualBox VM (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads) and load 9.04 (perhaps even 9.10) and pass thru the AirView USB device to the VM and that should work.

BTW, the udevinfo wrapper script hasn't been necessary for a while now. That's an old post that someone posted before a permanent fix was added to v1.0.11. The user does however need to be in dialout group.
