Hi List:
I do not find any function about DFS/TPC in AirOS for PS5. Is it PS5's hardware limitation?
Thank you

Hello Jack,
DFS should be working in STA mode.
AP mode we are still optimizing
Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike:
When will "DFS/TPC" be available on PS5/NS5?
Thank you

Hello Jack,
I do not have a timefram for the optimization of DFS on our AP's to be complete.
I will try and keep the community updated.
Thank you,
Mike

These features would be greatly appreciated!
Surely TPC (Transmit Power Control) is fairly easy to implement and a real advantage to many users and would hopefully educate users (in a round about way) to limit power levels and use only what is necessary and not drown out neighbours!
Please look into this Ubiquiti :)

Hello,
While be easy to implement, its a nightmare to get FCC certification. They are not the most promot people to work with .
Thanks,
Mike
ARGGGGGRrrrrrrrrr.........
You used "FCC" and "prompt" in the same sentence!

Can you get Transmit Power Control implementented now and work on the certification later, perhaps tweak it as needed?
In Canada we are allowed an extra 3dB of output power if the equipment uses TPC... If it is not certified I can just play dumb I suppose. :)

Hi mike,
Just wanted to add my bit to the discussion!
I've been looking around at the various 5.8Ghz (Band C) devices on the market in the UK to setup a wisp for a while now. After extensive research I'm confident the most capable and cost effective kit on the market is the ps5. In fact I'm using an SRC card in my laptop now and have been so impressed that I was really pleased to see you did such a great 5 ghz line - i really dont want to use another manufacturer!
Unfortunately the only stumbling block is the lack of TPC/DFS.. it makes their use in the UK illegal :(
I'm sure if TPC/DFS was included in the next firmware release then the demand for your Band C kit in the UK (and throughout the EU for that matter) would be huge - even if the official certification took some time and came along later I think many of us would live with it.
Please!!!!!! :)
Yours hopefully...

If it helps, the regulations for UK use of 5 Ghz are contained in IR2007.

I second that!
Mike it really is something you/Ubi should look into with all seriousness, wisperer's correct you will receive MANY orders from the UK if these features were implemented.
