Hi everyone.
Is it possible to scan and detect Motorola Canopy stations using AirView?
We are using Nanostation2 and we have some Motorola Canopy providers around.
Thanks

With the new 5.2 beta firmware, you should
be able to scan for all kinds of radios. It will
have a 'spectrum analyzer'--features TBD. Dave

Spectrum analysis just shows what is being used on the spectrum, not what "type" is being used correct? Our Motorola Canopy units just show it as a graph.

Right, 'wisp'--it probably won't identify
the specific brand when it has a proprietary
protocol. If it's a 'standard' protocol, a
scanner can often identify the type. Dave

Thanks for responses.
In my case I just need to find is any illegal Motorola around.
Couple month ago we start have some troubles with noise and it is not other UBNT equipment.
So, it is possible to find out what’s wrong with frequency around?

No you can't see all frequencies with AirView.
It is limited to the 2.4 Ghz band, and Motorola
Canopy is in the 5Ghz band.
Your best bet is to wait for firmware 5.2. Dave
