Hi Guys
I am just wondering if I can use cyber power fttx ups the one I am looking is: "CyberPower CyberShield CS24U12V-12 UPS - 24 Watt - Lead acid 12 Ah" for the Ubiquiti products like nanostation m5 and bullet 2 and I know the POE injector have this power rating: input: AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz, 0.3A
output: DC 15V, 0.8A.

so I contacted somebody at cyber power and they told me that unit will not work for that POE power rating and they told me I can be looking at 9k for a simple CPE ups. Could this cyber power tech correct or wrong about this?

Tech is correct.

The UPS output is DC 15V, 0.8A. That would be good for *ONE* UBNT radio, not two.

This model:
CS50U48V
outputs 48Vdc at 50W; it would power
as many as 6 to 12 Ubiquiti radios. You
must use an 'instant 802.3af adapter'
at the radio to reduce the voltage to
18Vdc to operate the radio. Dave

Thank You So Much Dave.D for your reply and also WHT I was only going to install one CPE with this equipment.

You're welcome Tim! There's another
48V model with only 16W output for
2-3 radios. Dave

I assume by now you have found a solution... Myself I am using outdoor UPS's made by Tycon Power, for out on a Lake area with many surges and power interruptions I use one with 24volt POE input that has a 36ah battery and 24volt POE output, perfect for Ubiquiti Radios and plus it isolates the devices from any surges as the equipment runs direct from battery power and the batteries just get charged from the POE input... Works great... they have 18ah & 9ah batteries as well... the 36ah system cost me $285 plus shipping.
