I recently took about 150 units from static IP's to DHCP (on three different schemes with a NIC connecting each group). Half the units were picked up and the others still are showing up in RED and refusing to be seen with the new IP's. I can bring them up on the browser on the same Linux box that airControl is on, but airControl will not play with them. Usually an email to Thomas and he's on my system in a couple fo hours, but he seems to have fallen off the earth. $10 for the first right answer or a location where Thomas is hiding!

Hes probably at some java lovers getaway

Have you tried deleting all the red ones then rescaning
likely AC got dizzy about the ip change

just out of curiousity why did you move to dhcp and not stay with statics
I imagine you will have this problem everytime they change ips with dhcp

Yeah, I even tried it standing on just my left foot with my right hand in the air.

To be perfectly honest, I switched them to DHCP until I can figure out how to get MikroTik to allow a whole subnet to pass through so I could monitor them from the airControl server that's on the WAN side of the MikroTik (new to MikroTik and Radius - this has been my hanging point). My network was flat (single IP) but got too big so I put in a PC running the MikroTik OS with 5 NIC's. 3 of them are separate schemes (172.20.1.0/24 - 172.20.2.0/24, etc) and while moving the AP's and bridges over I didn't want to have to figure out which AP was where and I had to shut off the ping since they couldn't see the source anymore. I'd love to put them all on a separate IP, but for the life of me can't figure out how to tell MikroTik to let the whole IP range through so airControl can see them. My brain has been too small!

I thought I got around it by putting 3 NIC's in the airControl server and put each on the LAN sides. airControl sees about half of them (no rhyme or reason I can see) but the others go red. If I shut off the monitoring they will not reconnect. Delete them and they're gone for good. I've run a discovery on every IP scheme and nada.

The MikroTik and Radius are working perfectly (at least for the customers) but I can't manage the damn units anymore.

If Thomas doesn't get back from his Java orgy soon I may just reinstall airControl from scratch. Unless of course I figure out how I'm supposed to do this right.

Java orgy nice one Bob lmao

Sounds like you may need some static routes to allow you to view the other subnets and mayby some firewall rules allowing them not sure I aint a tik guy

Can't you just imagine them there writhing in code! Yeah - I know there's a route involved, I can get one at a time, but can't figure out how to do the whole subnet. Any of you Mikrodink experts out there?

Bob, I was looking for your 2 hour SLA? :-)

I sent you an email with questions after looking at your system. It does not appear that the IP range scan works on your machine as expected and we need to find out why.

That's funny, I put the check in the mail. It was $1,000,000.00 US right?
