Ok, so i got a dead m5. have no idea why.
When the device is turned on, i get constant reboot after serveral seconds.
If i hold down the reset btn for 8-10 seconds I get the alternate wlan lights showing, but I am unable to ping the default address.

I have made a serial connection and managed to gain access to the redboot through putty.

How can i upload and install new firmware from redboot?
Normally you need a slightly different image file when installing from redboot... is this true with ubiquiti?

If someone could tell me the steps required once you have access through redboot you would make me very happy!

When you hold the reset button and get the alternating lights you are putting it in recovery mode. If it stays up in that mode you can flash a new firmware to it through tftp.

I am unable to ping the device though.. and the above link says it won't work unless you can ping the device...????
