Hi, a think i have a problem. I have my laptop ( win 7 x64 and airview ) at 1 meter of the access point ( Senao ecb 3220 400mw ) on channel 1, and the lower panel ( real time ) dont show any signal on channel 1. The power level go from -100 to -94. If i run the inSSIDer, the signal appear normally, with -30dbm.
Is this ok?

Hmmm... If there's any activity on any of the channels in the device's capability range it'll show up. We've tested these devices in all sorts of environment, including measuring readings against calibrated signal generators and I can assure you that they will report accurate activity.
Just make sure there's activity in the 2400-2485 MHz range while you're measuring. Try transferring a video file or opening the stream to an IP camera.
The only other thing I can think of is if the device is truly damaged, but if that was the case the AirView app wouldn't even be able to talk to it. Plus these things are hard to kill. Short of your dog using it as a chew toy they'll generally work.
BTW, not that it matters much, but is this an internal antenna version or a -EXT? Even with an EXT and no antenna you should be getting some readings.

Been there....just wipe off the doggie slobber.
As I said before, the Nano passed the farm test.

Is the internal antenna model.
If i change the channel of the ap, the Inssider will show up ok, but the airview dont display any signal
I think i take it to rma.
Thanks

Yes, Both USB versions of AirView (AirView2 and AirView9) come in 2 flavors: internal antenna, and external. The external antenna models are AirView2-EXT, AirView9-EXT.
I suppose it's entirely possible, although very unlikely, that you have a bad unit. I'd very much like to get hold of this unit and test it for myself. Instead of RMA-ing it to the distributor, if you're willing to send it directly back to me at our main U.S. address I'll send you back an external antenna version for free. Will you be willing to do that?

The distributor toll me that they gave me a brand new, not rma. Thanks anyway Ramin.
In a few days i will comment how it works.

That's Kikky and Kooky in the picture. Not to be confused with Carhart and Fitch parked under a friend's tree in town. http://whtonline.com/twodogsfarm/Carhart_and_Fitch_parked_under_tree.jpg
