all kinds of buildings at various heights
and distances, or apartments filled with
unknown items and with various construction.
I think you're looking for magic, and it
doesn't exist.

And you mention 'common' receivers, so
you propose to use whatever consumer
radios are available for the client end.
This adds another uncertainty dimension.

If you'd like to post a map of your proposed
coverage area, perhaps someone could
make some guesses about solutions.

And you omit some critical issues: how many
clients, what kind and speed network service,
what budget and income will you have?

My first hunch is that you need a consultant.
AirMax devices may be 'simple' for inexperienced
users to setup one or two radios. But what you
seem to want is an extended WISP enterprise.
