Hi

Are you planning M5 is equivalent to 3.5-3.8 GHz band? In Poland, there are authorized frequencies, TDMA and OFDM to work on licensed frequencies. Your device may have to be a cheaper alternative for WiMax equipment.

I noticed NS3 product, 3.4-3.65Ghz , Do you have plan to provide 3.300-3.400Ghz products? The licensed band 3.3Ghz is available here in China, 3.300-3.400Ghz. for fixed broadband application.

I learned many information from this Forum, base on the posted leads hear, that NS3 is down converted from a 5GHz radio, 2 Ghz down convertor, If that is the case, a 5.3Ghz radio will down convert to 3.3Ghz, that will provide a 3.3Ghz products. It seems that US version 5Ghz radio do not support 5.3Ghz band, Please advise which version's radio can do that. Any one can provide this information? Many Thanks.

Hello,

No, at this time you still need a license from the FCC for this band, but its a soft license.

Following extensive consultations, in June 2007 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published its ruling regarding the use of the 3650-3700 MHz band (3650 MHz band) with the aim of creating a spectrum environment that will encourage multiple entrants and stimulate the expansion of wireless broadband service to rural and underserved areas. To facilitate rapid deployment in the band, FCC adopted a ‘hybrid’ licensing scheme which is non-exclusive but requires base station registration and a filing fee for the spectrum by each provider. Furthermore, products deployed in this band require FCC certification.

Don't forget the requirement to license your CPE's as well since they are fixed transmitters.

Thanks for the answer to previous questions.
Does your device can be used between 3650 - 3800 MHz band?
What width of the channels are planned? Will there be channels of 3.5MHz, 7MHz, 14MHz?
We have 12 months to launch the first transmitter. Does your device will be available at this time? If not, when available ?
We have a reservation of frequencies in the area that is 2.2 million inhabitants.

Thanks,

We do, actually...

I'm just surprised that you guys aren't going to target the whole band for certification since the Israelis can do it. Maybe you need to lobby congress to get preferential business treatment like they've been doing for decades?

We are a US carrier who hold licence for 3.65 band, we would be willing to test and are able to test in almost any state once this equipment becomes available. We are eager to use gear in this range !

Hi Mike,
In my country the government tender for the award of three licenses in the bands 3600-3657 MHz and 3700-3757 MHz. Licenses are given a period of 10 years and cost EUR 7,500,000.
Equipment which say it is to remove them work in this spectrum?

Mike, will the new 3.65 gear be 802.11 based technology, I assume using the XR3? Just wondering if a move to 802.16 would be in the cards with this new gear?

Thanks.

Yes Mike, I too would like to know if 802.16 would be in Ubiquiti's future. I would love to be able to have a choice in Wimax cpes, since most Wimax APs allow for connectivity of other mfgs 802.16 cpes.

Hello,

Only each basestation needs to be registered from my understanding of the 3.65 license.
