1st - Should each site have it's own SSID? Or Setup each sector at each site have different SSID?
2 - How fast would cpe device hand off too send sector if they could see both and were labeled the same?
3 - If four sectors at one site, using airmax sectors, how far spaced apart should the frequencies be?

4 - Besides channel shifting, for security, does anyone actually have a linux 802.1x radius wpa / key rotation in place working on these radios?

Please add too this, bring up your own questions, that would be best pratice?

Hello,

1. Yes each sector should have a separate SSID.

2. This is unknown as roaming is not enabled with our devices.

3. Standard channel spacing applies +/- 20 Mhz separation in 20Mhz channels..

Thanks,

Mike

I would like to see a radio scan and connect the best available AU with the same SSID, this would be a nice failover if you have three or four sectors at a site and one went down a customer may be able to temp switch over to other AP while down sector is getting repaired.
