View Full Version : ubnt sdk: openwrt base kamikaze upgrade
Hi @ubnt-devs,
:icon_question: are there any plans to upgrade the Openwrt kamikaze basis of current ubnt sdk releases to an up-to-date Openwrt kamikaze release (i.e. 8.09.1)?
:icon_arrow: I guess this should improve the overall stability and performance; many bugfixes and improvements have been implemented between kernel 2.6.15 and 2.6.30.10 (current Openwrt linux-atheros kernel) :icon_cool:

are there any plans to upgrade the linux kernel (dating from 03-Jan-2006) of the current ubnt sdk to a more recent version, this year?
Especially the netfilter parts of the current 2.6.15 kernel are outdated: many bugs have meanwhile been fixed, a lot of useful features have been implemented into newer netfilter versions of current kernel versions.

Yes, we do have such plans in future releases.

that's great news :icon_cool:
Do you already know which upcoming release will contain a newer up-to-date kernel version?
