Do bullets support STBC? STBC would allow the bullet to benefit from a 1x2 mimo link, meaning if one had an 802.11n ap with 2 antennas and supported STBC then the bullet's receive sensitivity could be increased by up to 3 dB.
And for that matter, does the 2x2 gear support STBC? I don't think any AP vendors support transmitting STBC at this point, so I don't think the 2x2 gear would support transmitting it, but it might support receiving it. The current CTIA test bed doesn't have APs that support it to my knowledge.
Also, if it doesn't support it, will there have to be a hardware upgrade to support it in the future or will it be through firmware? And if it is a hardware upgrade, will it be a completely different chip that UBNT has to integrate into a separate product, or will it just be an updated chip revision that will immediately be available?
