Hi

I have two NanosM5's in a room doing some testing as we want to set them up in bridge mode as services need to be accessed at both ends... I have one set for Access point WDS bridge and one set station WDS bridge (nat ticked) I can ping a pc at the access point from the station pc but I cant ping from a pc on the access point to the Station or station PC .. I have been over the bridge wiki 12 times and cant see any issue ..
Doesnt a bridge mean just that .. it forwards all traffic as if it was on the same segment ..
I am probably missing something easy here .. any clues what I may be doing

Thanks in advance

Kev

Your issue could relate to the
room. Mike has reported various
problems with two NS M series
at very close range.

Try this with the radios at least
100m apart. Dave

Hi Dave
We put a nano5 and a rocket M5 with a sector 90 degree 20 db antenna outside and tried to bridge them .. Same config .. same problem .. 2.3 miles distance LOS no issues with the Ack its turned off and set to 2.7 miles .. works fine as the station set to router
but as soon as it is set to bridge statin wds and the acccess point set to wds it can only ping one way .. from station to access point ..
When its set to router mode it will ping and do anything to the workd or access point but the access point cant come back to the station. We have even tried port forwarding etc to try and get it to work.. factory reset the devices to make sure they have clean configs .. upgraded after we tried from ver 5 to 5.02 no better ..
We must be doing something wrong

Kind regards

Kevin

I would send your config files to Mike
to check out, Kevin:
mike@ubnt.com

I haven't seen this problem, and it
hasn't been reported AFAIK.

BTW: I don't know what 'nat ticked'
could mean. NAT is only used when
you're in router mode--not bridge. Dave

Kevin,

please send your configuration files from both units. I would like to see them.

P.S. NAT option is available only in router mode, as Dave has mentioned it already. Are you sure, that Station operates in bridge mode?
