I didn't see this anywhere else in the forum.
I have an out of box Rocket M5 that will not boot properly when powered up. The power & link light come on when power is applied, but none of the signal level LED flash. The ethernet port ont he box does not come up at all.
If I play with it, wiggling the cat5 while plugging and un-plugging, I got the box to boot 2 times in 100 tries. The first time it did boot, I had normal access and upgraded the firmware to 5.02. But after the upgrade it continued to fail, coming up once in the next 30 or 40 tries.
I've switched out the cat5 and power supply/injector, adn tried a fresh rocket with the old power supply/injector. Everything works fine except for that one rocket.
Would you like it back? <grin> I have 8 or so others to play with... purchased because we're betting that your M5 stuff will work out well. I'll test the other unopened boxes to make sure there are no more rockets reluctant to boot.
