Do you mean you can't open the NS
Web page? Or you can't get wireless
data through it? Dave

hello guys,
i want to know if nanostation 2 is compatible with windows 7.. i tried in many ways..but i didn't get it to work!!!:icon_cry:UBNT radios are OS agnostic.

Narrow the scope of the problem.
Can you ping your radio? If not, set you network connection to static IP 192.168.2.21.

Open your web browser and go to 192.168.1.20 or http://192.168.1.20 and you should see the web GUI log in. User: ubnt Pass: ubnt

If you get HTTP 500 Internal server Error,
Go to this address:
http://192.168.1.20/system.cgi

kewlkeed...

Then apparently its not able to run on any OS specifically after all. That's a new one on me.

Mebbe Window$ is gonna roll out its own access points and CPE radios, and is trying to show you how poorly AirOS/AirMax is written.

Pinging kettle black........

what i did:
i've downgraded my windows 7 to xp:icon_cry:..just for my nanostation to work.
I would suggest to the guys from ubiquiti to get in touch with the present and make a proper beginers tutorial for windows 7.
until then i'm stuck with xp..

Florin, it's not the operating system,
it's the browser. I'm fairly sure you
could install Chrome or Firefox on
Windows7 and do well.

'Stuck with XP' is a good thing. I
haven't seen many great advantages
to Windows7, unless you consider
its need for twice the memory and
twice the CPU speed to be advantages. Dave

I am using Windows 7 and IE8, Firefox 3.5.5 right now and have no problems on my NS2 running:

XS2.ar2316.v3.4.4390.090521.1757

Chrome doesn't work with AirOS - you get a 401 authorization page even if you include the login information in the URL. Chrome also has a problem with the latest Canopy radios. Don't use Chrome.

thank you all for your interest in solving this problem.
the need for windows 7 is because my laptop demands some new drivers..that's all!(now on xp i'm getting a sound problem)
i think the best ideea is to someone to make a working tutorial with everything we need to do on windows 7 for getting ns2 to work.
i wouldn't want to go back to w7 and have an bad surprise..

Um--florin, it appears to me that
jluthman has just confirmed that
Windows7 works using FireFox.

Why do you want a tutorial to
install FireFox on Windows7? Dave
