Is disabling the LAN under network tab same as disconnecting the ethernet cable?

I disable the LAN because I have two Bullet M5 HP (in AP mode) feeding my tower from two separate DSL connections. One act as backup. When my primary is in
use I disable the LAN on the backup. They are both attahced to a switch. Also attached to the switch are 3 PS2 that feed my customers.

Is there a better way to do this?

Second issue when ever I reboot the B M5 HP at one my dsl location it looses connectivity to the DSL modem it is attached to.

Thanks,
Dave

Hello,

- Disabling the LAN port is the same as disconnecting the cable.

- When you say the Rocket disconnects from your DSL, can you still access it on the wireless side?

Thanks,

Thanks for clarifying disabling LAN. Is there a better way to keep both up for redundancy. I am considering a dual WAN router.

To answer your question: I can access it from the wireless side but I cannot ping it from the lan. After I reboot the rocket then I can access it and ping it.

Another issue how do I enable Airmax mode? It says disable.

Hello,

AirMax is enabled through the advanced page of the AP. You will not see the option on the client as clients AutoDetect.

Thanks,

Mike
