Can Ubiquity line of products use a Managed Poe switch for Power I have a DLINK des-3010pa that I would like to use for for my Rockets and Such. Or are the POE propiertory to Ubiquity.

Hello,
Do not plug them in directly or you can damage our units. You will need to use our instant 802.3af converters inline to use a a managed switch like this. They convert the voltage from 48V down to a usable 18v.

I see the inline adapter but from the specs of it not enough to power a RocketM or did I miss read it.

the right information or not.
None of Ubiquiti's radios are 802.3af
compatible. If you want to use an
802.3af type PoE injector or switch,
you must add a Ubiquiti 'instant
802.3af adapter' that you insert into
the CAT5 cable near the radio.
That adapter converts the 48v from
the PoE/switch to 18v, which will
run a Ubiquiti radio. If you do not
use that adapter, 48v may be sent
to the radio, which will destroy it. Dave

Thanks a bunch we are looking at the instant adapter, I guess the question for the future will UBiquiti be going 802.3 compliant devices. Just a curious is all so I know plan future growth around Ubiquiti line of equipment.
