I believe ack timing (with such a short distance) has something to do with the different modulation, this thing, although the low noise still wants to drop primarily to 216Mbps TX/RX, often 162.

Waiting on some RocketDish antennas to show up and testing an 8mi link to one of our cell sites. Also have a RocketM with a 120º 19dbi I'm about to hook up here in the office.
