I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my NS2 but I keep getting the following error:
DEVICE_FIRMWARE_UPGRADE_FAILURE 2009-10-06 02:18:27 Brain 00:15:6D:D8:9A:3D Firmware update failed: scp error checkAck failed for file copy [Copying firmware to /tmp/fw-1518039482.bin (3038766 copied, 3038766 total)]

So I actually had two problems. First of all I could not add the NS2 because it was actually out of space. I deleted all the files in my /tmp directory and was able to add the NS2. (You can simply reboot the NS2 and it will delete the /tmp directory.)
I then tried to upgrade the firmware using the most current NS2 firmware available on the website. The AirControl did not see that as an upgrade for the NS2 because the NS2 had the generic XS2 firmware on it. So after working with Thomas, I was provided the link to download the generic firmware which upgraded without a problem. The most current generic firmware is located here: http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/firmwares/XS-fw/v3.5/XS2.ar2316.v3.5.4469.091001.1600.bin

Don't know if this is related, but any of my units that have the XS3.4 firmware (100+) will not upgrade the firmware from airControl. They claim they have been and are managed by airControl, but all still have the XS3.4 firmware. They only upgrade if I go to the unit's WebUI and do it manually. Would this mean I don't need to upgrade the firmware for XS3.4 units since airControl manages them and shows their SSID?

When I try to upload that firmware from that link into airControl I get a Java error the first time and after that it just blinks when I hit Upload - but never appears on the list.

For all units that you have connected in AirControl, you can update the firmware from AirControl - using the "Update" link in the toolbar. Before that, you need to have the firmware image uploaded. The image referenced by the link above should work just fine. Can you email me a screenshot of your firmware page, along with the AirControl version info on the lower left corner of the screen?

i correct you. that is not always true. if you are the same subnet possibly. but like a lot of us we have set the cpe as a router and being on the wan side of things it fails. i have fond that i can upgrade from 3.3.2 when i try to connect but then the connection to the cpe eventaully gets lost.

Please use the latest build and reply to my message I sent you for more details about your issue. I do not see any problem with WLAN connections being lost for stations in router mode in my setup (after the changes). I need more info from you.
