Hello,

Starting with SR71_V1_2_2 mobility driver setup on Windows XP SP3, it is now possible to use the mobility client interface instead of Windows one. But when trying to upgrade the SR71-USB driver on Vista, the setup utility does not discover the module and keeps installing the new driver.
Has anyone encountered such issue with Vista ?

Regards,
BL

Hi,

On XP, I use the same configuration as yours. Indeed, I also use the SRC card with mobility driver release 7.7.0. When switching to SRC, I can connect to any access point.
When using the SR71-USB, I installed first the driver provided on the CD, then upgraded it first to UBNT_SR71_Drivers_v1.2.1 then to SR71_V1_2_2. After that, when selecting SR71-USB, I can reach the mobility client and connect to the access point. Within Vista ... not !

Yes, within Vista, i have seen for some unknown reason occassionally the install doesn't work straight thru like it should. When that happens you needs to go to device manager, select the SR71 and go to update driver and browse. Browse to the system32 driver and locate the UBNT_arth.sys file and that should then install it completely. Then go ahead and and disable you laptop own wireless nic. Restart the laptop and Vista will use the SR71-USB. There is no seperate Ubiquiti software client for this or he SR71 series. Just set up your network connections thru windows.
