Hi - I installed the latest SW for Windoze, 1.08 beta build 288.
It could not find the device, even after reboot.

Device Manager said "The device is not configured correctly (code 1)"

I reinstalled the driver - all OK.

??????

Win XP Pro SP3 all updates, Dell Vostro 1510 Laptop new March 2009.

Hi John,

So aside from the initial install issue with the driver, which you say you fixed, is the app working? Does it find the device and start displaying charts? Your message is a little vague about whether or not the app works, or was it just a device driver install problem.

Hi Ramin - all is ok after re-installing the driver. The app is fine and I like it.

But, why didn't the driver get installed with the app install? I followed the instructions precisely...

Hmm, that's a tough one for me to diagnose remotely. I couldn't even begin to guess, other than perhaps there were some previous Windows registry issues, and/or COM port issues of some kind that prevented our installer to register the device's INF file. Truth be told we actually don't install a real driver at all. It's only an INF file registration pointing to an already existing driver that comes installed with Windows, so it's a rather simple registration.

We've tested the installer on a multitude of Windows systems, anything from XP, XP/64, to Vista Home/Business/Ultimate, even Windows 7 BETA and RC1. All have installed without a hitch. So I really don't what to tell you. I'm just glad you resolved it and got it working.

Cheers,
