Hey guys, I have a single ap-client bulletm2 setup going. works great, fast as can be. the client is 8 miles out and through the internet this client pulls up very fast. The AP is about 100 feet away from out building on the internet and it takes minutes to load any part of the gui. sometimes it's faster to hit stop and reload and wait. sometimes it just sits there. firmware upgrade to RC5 on the client took about 3 minutes, but I have been trying for days to do the same to the AP. I havent tried this hardwired in, but the client is going through this AP to the internet and it's not exhibiting the problem.

Also still cannot use SNMP on either unit. I can grab the interfaces of the units in prtg, but no data or throughput gets graphed. tried with and without extra reporting.

Hey Lee,

Thats a problem with the older firmware on the AP. You need to get in there and update it and the problem will be resolved. Best thing to do from a remote standpoint is to reboot the unit (if you can), then close your web browser. Next time you try and pull the AP up, log in, but add /system.cgi to the IP and go directly to the firmware update button. Then update the firmware.

Let me know how that goes.

Thanks,

Mike

Thought so. Will do tonight or tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes. Anything about the SNMP problem?

For the SNMP I believe there were also fixes in RC5, but I have asked my software guys to take a look as well. Also please post your config and support files after updating to RC5

Thanks,

Mike

will get you config's soon. just to test though I completely reset one of my other sitting units back to defaults, SNMP doesn't work. updated to RC5 or w/e the newest is and still nothing on SNMP. I can pull the interfaces in my software just fine (wifi0, Eth0, Eth1, ect.), but no traffic graphing.

We use a snmp string different from the norm "public" and on some units in the past that arent ubiq gear if you changed the string from public they would'nt act right so I also kept the string defaulted to public adjusted my software accordingly.

Anyone else having issues with SNMP and Paesler software (Traffic Grapher, Network Monitor...)?

Just seems kinda odd that the software picks up the interfaces but cannot graph any of the traffic from any of my units, in the field/in use and benched/backup's.

What OIDs are you monitoring for traffic graphing?

I am just going through the standard setup for bandwidth monitoring, exact same process as setting up the nano's. I have never had to specify any OID's. I have always been just fine with choosing the "standard traffic sensor".

I just received some more units this afternoon and after setting those up I also cannot use SNMP on the new one's. So it must be something I am not doing right or thier are some extra steps in getting SNMP to jive with this software on these bullets. Nano's have worked fine in the past with just the "standard traffic sensor".

Hello ljenkins,
have you tried to pull the interface "eth0_real" or "eth0"?
Please note, eth0 is not available since v5.0.

(The interface list is listed with "snmpwalk -v 1 -c public 192.168.1.239 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2")

The information regarding SNMP monitoring will be updated in this page:

ah ha, eth0_real does give me the traffic. I tried all of the sensors I could pull but only the eth0_real gives anything.
