Two days ago I received AirMax equipment. For starters we installed on the terrace of a building a 5GHz-sector antenna with 120 degrees set Roket 5GHz access point AirMax ON. On the second floor I installed NS-5s-M. Although not visible signal is-43dB and I transferred to 52 Mbps, I expect to get better results. Today I lost the connection and not manage to get the interface of NS-5s-M, and not respond to ping. Please tell me if this problem has been met. November tomorrow we wish to give way to the first site AirMax in Bucharest and we do not want problem.

Thank you

Hello,
Result will be less when you do not have LOS. This is unavoidable as this equipment is not LOS.
For the unit that went down, can you get into it on the wireless side? Please see the firmware at the top of the forum that deals with lockups.
Thanks,

Hi Mike,
Do not you understand what's wrong. I say that I connected NS5-M to a Rocket, it worked fine a few days after the NS5-M was blocked, I can not access the web interface and do not respond to ping. It acts like he does not have IP set. Today another NS5-M was blocked. After reset can access the web interface to standard IP 192.168.1.20
I wonder if there were such situations and to other users.
Thanks
suhoi, you need to update the software. The old software has the problem you describe.
oh.. yes yes yes yes... =\
If I were to tackle this problem, I would assume that a non-LOS will NOT work reliably...REGARDLESS that it may have worked (perhaps good or bad) at one point in the past. If you don't have a clear shot, you're chasing rabbits in the dark.

Hi,
This is the new firmware update XM.v5.0.1.2439.090826.1513? On the equipment to do updates, the NS5-M or the Rocket?
Thanks

I did firmware update and Signal Strength rocket dropped from-14dBm to-40dBm, Transmit CCQ: 80% fell to 46% and AirMax Capacity fell from 56% to 14% is ok? When I tried to update the NS5-M got an orange message that can not update. This is the version that I wanted to upload XM.v5.0.1.2439.090826.1513.
Thank you

Hi Shuoi,
Is it possible that you are trying to upload the firmware using the configuration upload configuration form? You can imagine why I know you get an orange message when you do so ;-).
If the message is: "Uploaded configuration file is too big...", this is the case.
Regards.

Hi Mike,
I loaded firmware, gave no error.
I see a new firmware came XM.v5.0.2-rc2.2732.090918.1605, is valid for NS5-M and rochet?
