If this really is to happen and if Ubiquiti would like to continue like you have been doing for the last two years, maybe it is about time it starts to think about distribution worldwide !
In Europe, it took us 3 weeks to get the new bullets for testing, during our patient wait for the new Airmax products !
After contacting Master distributors, stock arriving on September 15th !!
September 15th, stock arrives and sold in less than an hour all of the Rocket MS (20 units ?), but lots of Nano M5 and sectors in stock !!
When will you have more stock, answer: Maybe in a month or two !!
Where is the logic behind this and what are we going to do with new Nano M5 and Sector antennas if there are no more Rocket M5 to attach to the sector or parabolic antennas ?
Maybe Ubiquiti should seriously start investing in a "Real" Master Distribution in the EMEA, that is owned by Ubiquiti, so that us the end users / VARīs CAN buy your products and be able to SOLVE the Global WISP Initiative !!

PS: Mike, Ben and Robert, make sure that you fill the empty spaces on your flight to the Madrid conference with stock for us please !!

... not to forget regulatory compliance.

Implementation of TPC and a DFS that meets the requirements of ETSI 301893.

Ubiquity has many nice products, but not really usable in Europe...

Hey!!
I'm also from Spain.
I just bought 30 NanoStation5, 4 Rocket with 90' antennas, and a couple of bullets.
And I could saw the stock going down in real time :)
We need a better distribution here in Spain.

Hi Guys,

Initial production run of 5GHz M series products have shipped and have arrived at some locations and some are still in transit depending on how they were shipped. More products will be shipped this month.

Regards,
Ben

I have the exact same issue. Love the equipment but just can't get a regular supply.
Again using the Spanish master distributer.

I even contacted Ubiquiti, but the required stock holding quoted was to heavy for my small company. However I now do not beleive that the master distributers hold anything like the quoted figure.

Being a UK expat I tried contacting the UK master distributer, and still wait reply.

A point I would add, for serious consideration by the powers behind Ubiquiti.
Having run a previous business:
Bigger is not always better.
Ubiquiti should look at some smaller companies for distribution.

Smaller companies, by there very nature, have to be customer focused.
In my experience, are very keen to open new markets.
Give better service.

But above all, please sort out the supply chain.

I have customers waiting but can't hold off for months.

Yep, i Couldnt agree more. Currently spending 40K plus a year with them and there stock levels are ****. Still no 802.11a UBNT stock in.

plenty of window mounts!!!!!

I was lucky to get one of the first shipment of Nano5Ms and rockets.
Only got those cos they had nothing else.
Turns out im still stuffed as they will not work with our existing network.
If anyone in spain needs a pile of Nano M5s before they go on ethe fire let me know!

Oh well back to MikroTik CPE, only delaying the eventual transfer to AIRMAX.

Cmon Mike, how hard could it be turn off MIMO.

Hi Beninspain:

Have u found an alternatice 2 landapants?
How do the microtiks compare?

I think you are grabbing all the stock :)
At that level of investment I think you could be a better distributer!

SaltyTiger would definately do a better job

Hopefully see u at the conference

Derdrack,
Ben is coming to Madrid with a 747 Cargo and Ubiquiti equipment for us.
There might be a slim chance of Mike fitting in there somewhere on a jump seat !! lol
So, I guess we shall see in the Madrid conference what is the future for us.
I have been thru this before during the last 6 years with another California company (which Ben and Mike knows very well and they supply boards for them !!) with stock and stocking problems and I hope that we are not going down the same route !!
At least this equipment seems to be ROHS ready, this time around !!

As bad as they are, its a case of better the devil you know.

Mikrotik solutions works really well, just a bit more expensive for CPE and requires a little more setup and basic understanding. Happy to help you out on that.
I would like to know if UBNT have stopped producing the Nano5 and Loco5.
If the new ones worked it would make sense to just produce and ship the new units.
Problem is, until they do work. We are forced to buy other kit. Oh well least Landapants have plenty of MT stock.

I have possibly 250 or so Loco / Nano5 out in the field. Been really happy with them so far.
My bussiness is expanding at a fast rate. Flat out installing 10 a week on average.

Big bottle neck now and it pisses me off. Ive got the money for the kit (most of the time)
I have a terrible relationship with the Disti. Always shouting at them. Kit i order never arrives on time. Last month a 1k order wasnt sent because they were short 1 grandsteam ATA worth 26 euros. No email to tell me. NO phone call NADA. I was stood waiting like some kind of idiot. Expecting it to take 2 days plus the obligotory extra day. i went and booked in 5/6 installs.
Seeing as they had been out of stock for so long, i had a huge list of people waiting. So i fill up my week with work, to then have to let everyone down because they cant get there act together. Im getting tired of paying delivery charges on small batches cos its all they ever have.

Rant over. Ill get down from my high horse and let someone else talk.
