That sure beats sending your dog over to piss on their doorstep to show off the UBNT product line. I'll bet they will be asking the questions.

Either that, or there will suddenly be an
epiphany that there is an internal hook.

More than likely it will not be compatible. Not only that, and I'm not speaking for SkyPilot, I doubt it ever will unless SkyPilot redesigns their entire product line. Even if it was compatible, it won't have any benefit over the existing product line. SkyPilot would have to do major work to get their AP's 802.11N compatible and I'm not seeing that happen in the near future. It would take a significant amount of horsepower on the Gateway/Extender and I'm not convinced that a 680MHz board is fast enough to support that, unless it reduces the throughput down to about 1/2 or more what Ubiquiti is showing for performance.

Hi ,

we don't need a 11n feature . Actually our network is based on SP and Nano with this firmware ( syncmesh ) . But new NanoM have a better hardware ( 400Mhz cpu ) .
Actually in Europe is more difficult to find nanostation and nanoloco , so our question is :
Is possible to use NanoM WITH syncmesh firmware ? ( and not if nanoM is compatible with SP )

Now , we have the answer. No , at this moment.

Thank's

You know what, I stated my last post incorrectly. I should have said that the current firmware is probably incompatible and would require additional development. The additional processor speed has no advantage for the client. Keep in mind that a Gateway/Extender has a maximum bandwidth throughput of 13Mbps with the current firmware. There is no advantage to porting the firmware to the new hardware platform.

Now, if they want to make the mesh Gateway/Extender firmware instead of just the client firmware work on the new hardware, I'm there. I guarantee that doesn't happen.

Hi rconaway ,

we know that the new hardware have no advantage for client side ( and also for BTS side ) and we know also the limit of badwidth in SP Gateway/extender.But our network is based on SP and alvarion and work fine for our customer.

So , actually , in Europe , no distributor have Nano !!! and we searching a solution for our business. We have the largest SP network with Nanostation in our country.

Of course , when Airmax are available to our distruibutor , we want test the TDMA protocol of Ubiquity :-)

The Nanos just became available again. We just got several in so you should be able to start ordering them. I know that Microcom and Streakwave have them in the U.S.
