Today j have flashed 2 WS5 new from shelve, firmware on board are the old 2.2.3, j have discharged the newer version 3.4 (specific for WS5) from Ubiquiti support site.

file name is: WispStation5-v3.4.build4390.bin

I have flashed it as always, in a static free environment, using all caution as usually.

at the end of flashing procedure, WS5 restart itself, but network led remaining off and WS5 is inaccessible (and invisible) from network.

When j have flashed first, I have think on a case, but with the second (in 20 minuts) j'm coming to have doubt on firmware file.

It's possible verify that the file on site are what should really be?

thanks in advance

Issue is resolved...

there a strange incompatibility with 3.4 firmware and my new Atlantis Land 8 ports gigabit switch. :)

Last week j have changed laboratory switch, all going well within j have flashed the first WS5, with old firmware version is all OK, when the WS5 reboot after upgrading firmware to 3.4 version, lan led remaing off as cable are extracted from RJ11 connector, if j connect directly the computer ethernet port, lan led flashing then remain lit, and all are OK.
During weekend I go deeper, testing other versions of firmware and other network devices, it's seems that only device affected with this issue is WS5 with firmware 3.3 and 3.4, from version 3.2.2 and earlier all works perfectly.

I have some other switch of the same model (5, 8 and 16 port, A02-Gxx model) in the shop, the other 8 port have same issue, the 5 and 16 port model is OK with all firmware version.

In the normal network use there are no difference from using 5, 8 or 16 ports, device on network are all normally accessible, but with 8 port my NAS server is noticeably slower than on 5 and 16 ports.

This time I have to apologize to the forum for being too hasty ... :) ;)
