I can't ping or browse the default address of AirOS default ip of 192.168.1.20 from my computer which is connected to the same network segment with the new Bullet M2.

Computer NIC on Win XP: 192.168.1.10 / 255.255.255.0
Power Supply: Ubiquiti 24V POE adapter, Model: UBI-POE-24-1
Connection diagram is like:

Computer <-->POE adapter LAN port <--> POE adapter POE port <-->Bullet M2

Bullet M2 lights up the power LED (1st from bottom) and the 2nd LED that I presume to be the LAN segment. The 2nd LED blinks once in a while.
All other LEDs are off.

I tried to run a reset to factory defaults

I also tried to run Ubiquiti Discovery tool v2.3 to no avail.:icon_sad:

The CAT 5e cables that I used work well when tested on another LAN segment.

Start a ping on 192.168.1.20 and apply power to the radio while holding the reset button for 10 seconds or so.

You should get Flasing light pairs on the radio and the ping should start responding.

If this works you can then TFTP the firmware image to the radio. It takes several minutes after the transfer is complete to load the image and reboot, so be patient.

Hello,

Pleast try the TFTP factory firmware recovery as mentioned above. If this does not work, please email me directly at mike@ubnt.com so I can give you a shipping account to get this unit back.

Thanks,

This is my first contact with Ubiquiti products but I am beginning to see how everything is structured.

I had scouted the forums for a solution before posting my problem. I can't ping even when I am in TFTP mode. I have wrote Mike and email.

Couldn't get a supplier here with Bullet M2. Bought these from Spain and ordered 2 Bullet 2HP from South Africa--1 for backup:icon_confused:. Hope these will work on arrival.
