I can't ping or browse the default address of AirOS default ip of 192.168.1.20 from my computer which is connected to the same network segment with the new Bullet M2.
Computer NIC on Win XP: 192.168.1.10 / 255.255.255.0
Power Supply: Ubiquiti 24V POE adapter, Model: UBI-POE-24-1
Connection diagram is like:
Computer <-->POE adapter LAN port <--> POE adapter POE port <-->Bullet M2
Bullet M2 lights up the power LED (1st from bottom) and the 2nd LED that I presume to be the LAN segment. The 2nd LED blinks once in a while.
All other LEDs are off.
I tried to run a reset to factory defaults

I also tried to run Ubiquiti Discovery tool v2.3 to no avail.:icon_confused:
The CAT 5e cables that I used work well when tested on another LAN segment.

First might just be a bad unit. Was it active at one time and out in the field? If not properly grounded they can get an electrical buildup that knocks them out.
Secondly, I have had a couple units that wouldn't respond if I was using a crossover cable from the computer to poe Lan segment. Try a couple different cables if you have them just in case.
Third make sure the plastic case isn't holding down the reset button on the unit.

Hello,
Please try a few different LAN cables and make sure they are ALL straight patch cables.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi all! Seems i got the same problem with new Bullet M2 HP, purchased from a local distributor 802-11.ru. When I got the device on the post office, I decided to test it. When I connected device to my computer, I discover that I can't access the web-interface 192.168.1.20 with Opera.
Web-interface opens after factory defaults procedure, done by pressing reset button for a few seconds. Next I decided to upgrade device with a new firmware downloaded from ubnt.com, and this was the last moment the device worked. I wait about a 20 minutes and power off the device, then power on it. No answer from web interface...
Firmware defaults procedure doesn't help any more, so I begun to search your site for troubleshooting guides. I followed the instruction http://www.ubnt.com/wiki/index.php/Firmware_Recovery, trying to use Windows tftp-client (Windows Seven), downloaded tftp client, and even tried with another PC with Ubuntu Linux thru tftp on it. But the device never returns to life again.
Interesting thing is that when I perform sequence tftp - bin - trace - put, device reports that data uploaded successfully, and byte counter on interface confirms this. Also if I try to upload firmware for another device (I tried AirOS 3.5 for Bullet 2), my device reports that firmware is incorrect.
I tried different versions, 5.0, 5.1, all that I have found on ubnt.com for Bullet M2 HP. The last time I tried to update XM-v5.1.2.build3998.bin, but no success.
Tested voltage on POE adapter - it has 15.33 V.
Patch cords works fine if I use them to connect two PCs to each other, they all straight patch cables.
Also I tried to follow this firmware defaults procedure:
Follow these steps exactly:
1. disconnect the PC
2. power up the radio; wait 30sec. or more
3. hold reset down for about 10sec, until the
signal level lights start flashing back and forth
4. release reset button; wait 10sec. or more
5. power down the radio for 10sec. or more
6. power up the radio; wait 30sec. or more
7. reconnect the PC
Need your help please. Thanks in advance.

Tried to access Bullet M2HP's web interface with IE but no success.
Also I can say that the device shows up in ARP table (arp -a) only when in rescue mode.
