If this is already covered somewhere in the forum, please provide a link?
Is it possible to emulate a wireless NIC, such as the built-in wireless adapter in a notebook PC, with a NanoStation2 connected to the notebook wired ethernet adapter? The NS2 would simply be acting as a much more powerful wireless adapter as opposed to the built in wireless. This should be possible in Station DHCP Mode, but what would the other appropriate settings be for the NS2 and Windows XP?
I tried logging in to a login/password accessible wi-fi hot spot with a NS2, but could not produce the log in page in Internet Explorer(the Access point was clearly visible in the NS2 and connected at 54Mbit), whereas the notebook PC internal wireless adapter had no problems.
Thanks,
