How about Klingon? How about the lounge for this? Maybe a language translation forum online somewhere?

How about Klingon?What is that?

Keep in mind, I only found out last April who Paris Hilton was.

True story...Rory and I were riding a cab from the motel to UNBT office last April and Rory said something about pictures of Paris Hilton on the internet. I asked who Paris Hilton was.

Who's Rory? What's a motel? You have an office? I think Klingon is actually a language (search online for that) it's from the Klingon people in Star Trek TV series and movies.

Paris Hilton? I dunno either, other than stuff in the media. There's a quote from the movie Titanic http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120338/quotes "Your as likely to have angels fly out your **** as to get next to the likes of her." Personally I wouldn't want either event from that quote to happen to me, not with Paris Hilton anyway...

So who's behind in deliveries? what product can't be had????

Rory = rconaway
motel = place where UBNT reserved rooms for us
office = four-door, 4WD, one-ton, diesel pickup truck

Edited to add...

Paris Hilton = code for "open cellphone bluetooth"

* Yahhhhh. I guess I don't know the management yet. I haven't been NOT working here long. Must be nice to get a reserved room. I guess that's a pretty nice office. I mobile office mostly myself too.

So you're a pretty smart person... what do you know about the SDK for building firmwares?

I don't have time, nor inclination to mess with the SDK.

I guess you're not that deep in the staff then. Maybe I can a motel room as well, and a Hummer for a mobile office from them?

I guess also I'll have to keep inclination'ing on the SDK myself then. I, ummm, guess it's FUN. I've compiled it and flashed it a dozen or more times already ... trying to tweak certain things.

No, I'm not part of the UBNT staff, only a contractor and beta tester for them.

Recompiling Linux operating systems, especially embedded ones. Recovering from bad firmwares. = FUN

I think that would qualify one as a Beta Tester. Anyway even if you don't become a beta tester, often you become one anyway. I did a WiFi system and the company making it had a hybrid model (between model changes, same box, new radio board). Sent the wrong poE injector. And I didn't even sell the system, the customer bought direct. Anyway too much DC Volts eventually burned the radio board out. Unfortunately or fortunately (half full? half empty?) it happened on my watch. I was combining multiple wireless Internet systems and I had touched it. That made it my baby. I figured out the problem... Solved it. That made me an automatic Beta Tester.

(By the way, I charged more labor on the project because of having to disassemble and troubleshoot a WiFi Router System, replace a Radio Board, DC Injector, and still make it all play nice together. I'm glad they understood. Because it wasn't my fault of what happened. Although the MFR. never told the customer that.)

Anyway, currently running XS2.ar2316.v3.4.SDK.091002.1600 my own rebuild on the firmware for ar2316 based models - on an LS2 and a Bullet.
