Hello everyone
I currently have a network WISP equipment Nano Station 5 running in its entirety.
My question is: If implement AirMax as AP and client thereafter, do these with my current network Nano Station5 ?
Thanks

Hello,
You could use the AP, but would not be able to use the AirMax featurea as the NanoStation 5 (non-M 802.11a models) do not support AirMax

** Using non-AirMax products with an AirMax AP will not get you AirMax features.
** Adding AirMax CPEs to an existing non-AirMax AP will not get you AirMax features.
** Adding non-AirMax CPEs to an existing AirMax AP will prevent the AirMax CPEs from using AirMax features.
** To get full AirMax performance, all radios have to be AirMax products.
** AirMax is not compatible with AirOS 3.x or any other manufactures' products or OS.
** Non-AirMax UBNT products and other manufactures' products cannot be upgraded to an AirMax product.
** AirMAx products will "support" non-AirMax products *only* to the extent of traditional 802.11a/b/g performance.

I plan to use base station with SR71 and as clients equipment- nanostation M (or loco). Is this correct ? Will I use full MIMO features ? Sorry about my English.

Hello,
Yes they will connect however you will not be able to use AirMax as SR71-A will not have this feature.
Thanks,
Mike

It's unfortunate that the LS-SR71 is incompatible with Airmax but with the new "M" hardware you should probably just drop it and only install "M" stuff in the same sector.

Because of my bad English I did not ask my question well. My idea is: NanoStation is a 5GHz 2x2 MIMO device. Can it be connected with a random Access Point 5GHz N-standart? And, of course, to take the opportunities of the N- standart? I want to use the NS M and NS M loco as customer devices because they are at good cost prices. I do not insist on putting obligatorily SR71 -A on the AP , I can put another 5GHz N miniPCI. Thank you for understanding!

yes the "M" series is fully .11n compliant and will connect to any .11n ap. you will just not be able to use airmax unless you have an airmax AP

If you do not have too many stations and do not have too much interferences (both strong points of Airmax), you should not care about Airmax (it could be counter-productive).
