NanoStation And Mikrotik Fail

Hi There.

I have 4mbps in dsl.

I have been working in a link 6.8km at firts I had 2 NS2 and the link worked excelent, when i made a speedtest in internet in the client side i reached 3.8mbps that was excelent.

After 3 months i needed to improve my network using QoS and I installed a Mikrotik 433ah with sr2 and antena panel 19dbi laid tech in side A ,and NS2 in side B.

But when I make the speedtest in internet i got only 1.4mbps.

Side A Mikrotik:

Signal -65
ccq 98%
Noise floor -101dbm
ping to side B =2, 3 ms
ack timeout: 65us

Side B NS2
Signal -66
ccq 98%
noise floor -101 dbm
ping to side A =2, 3ms

I only pass 1mbps.
I checked all in both sides and i dont know how can i fix this

Well...if the path was working great before you added the Mikrotik, I'd say its a Mikrotik problem. At least you know where to start looking how to fix it.

are you speedtesting from the internet? if so what results are you getting at the dsl line.

we have had issues with 7meg dsl in this area testing as low as 1 meg during peak times.

you can download btest from mikrotik to your computer and connect from side b and test that way.

and what was the signal level before you changed out the ns2 for the mt unit?

Dsl (4mbps)--Mk--NS2

Yes, I used the speedtest from internet and If I connect my lap to t Eth2 of mikrotik and run the speedtest I getting speed between 3.4mbps and 3.6mbps that is it excelent. The same thing with 2 Ns2 in side B

But if i connect my lap in side B (NS2) i getting it between 1.4mbps and 1.2mbps
bad. where are there the others 3? :S

before I Installed Mikrotik the signal was -69 to -71 between 2 Ns2.

Im going to try with btest of mk the way you said, I will tell you what happen tomorrow

hi,

why use the MT as a radio, they invariably have radio issues?

just use the routerboard plugged into your NS2 at one end and do the QOS on the ethernet.. simples..
