I was wondering, for a cable run of about 150 feet, would it be better to have the POE injector closer to the computer or to the nanostation?

A very, very few people have said they can't run the included PoE past 150 feet due to voltage drop of the CAT5 cable. But no big deal, replace it with a UBNT 15-volt PoE.

Even if it will work both ways, which way is best? Or more ideal?

I had just assumed that the closer the POE injector is to the nanostation, the better off I would be.

You know what they say when one assumes. So i thought i would ask the pro's.

I guess what I am getting at, is would it be bad to have the PoE on the far end of the cable run (closer to the nanostation).

Then the compelling factor would be to place the power supply for the PoE injectors as close as possible to an electrical outlet.

I have some Bullet 2 HP at around 100 meters using 18v via POE, without any troubles, at the specs it says 10-24v, but I want to do same with NANOSTATION and NANOSTATION LOCO, and they have an included 12v adaptor, does it support 10-24v as BULLET? or will I burn the system? I am planning to use a 18v... It doesnt say anything about max voltage at NANOSTATION/LOCO specs... thank you in advice

Nano and Loco are 25 v max.

Nano and Loco are 25 v max.

Looked for about 15 minutes and it was in the very tab from the search results. Thank you!

I powered a NS5L on an 18V PoE injector the other day for configuration without issue.

Remember that an Ethernet link cannot exceed 100m according to the standards which would be the total the distance from the Ubiquity device to the switch/computer/hub. The PoE injector doesn't count as they just pass the Ethernet wires through without interruption.
