Ive just had an ns2 fail. The PSU failed by blowing the fuse.

NS2 did not respond when the PSU was replaced. Have just taken the NS2 and it was dead. No lights etc with a known good PSU.

The removable cover was full of insect debris.

Has anyone had a unit fail due to insects getting inside the NS units? How do I get into the NS2? I know its dead so I just want an easy way in to see the damage.

Hey Dave,

Pull the product name sticket off the back and pop the 2 screws. From there you can get into the unit.

Thanks,

Mike

I have seen many an electrical devices get fried with dead ants in them. Maybe need to put some caulk around the Cat5e wire and the Antenna cover under the unit

I therefore wonder why Ubiquiti didn't design the latch mechanism with a shroud to stop insect ingress? It would have added 0.0001 cents per unit in production..
