Hello,
I just got my Bullet M5 HP, but I don't see that it is working 100mbps. At all tests I got maximum 20mbps. Maybe some one has made it show more? Could someone share its configs? Thanks.

did you tested between B5M and a frying pan? B5M need to make pair with another one ...

Hello,

Please post a very detailed setup info along with the configuration files of your units.

Thanks,

I tested the units ( 2 Bullet M5 HP ).
15dbi antennas on each unit, point back to back. ( -45dbm )
Distance of abot 30 feets away from each other.
Two IBM Thinkpads X series, using Windows XP Pro
Wireless setup was auto, no encryption, no service where activated.
40 MHz Channel

Made a copy from one PC to the other. ( Drag and Drop )

Max transfer was 50Mbps and stable for more than 5 minutes, using DUMeter, very, very stable!

Very stable, looks very good.

Will try using 127 Kilometer link tomorrow ( 6Ft dishes )

Hello,

Can you use a 3rd party speed program to more accuratly test the link. Please see my testing setup stickied thread at the top of the forum.

THanks,

drag&drop and sharing are not very good, they just can't use a wireless full capacity link...use FTP or something else.

The key here is actually application. UBNT's testing is a multi-application stream testing. What you achieved at 50Mbps with a 40MHz channel is pretty close to maximum for a single computer transferring to another computer. It matches what we saw also. Mike's point is that N is more efficient when multiple computers are transferring data across the link simultaneously where you can hit a higher total aggregate transfer rate.

Drag and Drop may not be efficient but it's what we acheived with ftp also also although we think there was some issues with the laptops PCMCIA ports.

What have you predicted for your signal levels and subsequent data speeds?

127 km

be interested to see how they do for that.. please post results!

but them i'd be happy to have two of em here to try! :(

its amazing how hard it is to spend lots of money on this new kit :?

I Agree, I made the same test using Ethernet Cable, From ThinkPad to ThinkPad and it's about the same transfer rate. ~48Mbps.

Will let all of you know about the 127Km link.

Well Im having the same issue.. if I enable the AirMax feature, I just get ~4-7mbit... if I disable it, it get ~25-30 mbit with 40mhz channel, with 19 dbi panels antenas back to back, with bout 2 meters of distance ( signal strenght ~ -65dbi, CCQ 100%). No other 5ghz networks are near hear... When AirMax is on, I do see 150mbit tx and 150mbit rx on the web page. ( AirMax Quality: 95 % AirMax Capacity: 48 %)

I tested using iperf (with jperf) with the settings stated on the sticky on the forum...

Any special settings we must use to achieve the full 100mbit tcp stated by the product specs ?? (i mean thing this would be the ideal conditions that it requires to see something near the specs)

Hey Jabroni,

Please post your config files along with a screenshot of your JPERF testing.

Thanks,
